Coalescing Plate Separators provide economical and effective bulk removal of oil and solids from wastewater at refineries and industrial plants, in a smooth and efficient manner. Our Corrugated Plate Interceptor CPI design is used to remove bulk oil from the water using coalescence and separation, combined with our solids jetting systems, oil and solids are removed from the water. PSA’s plate packs can also be used to improve the size and economy of any existing separator systems.

Depending on plates shape and Inclination of the plates, a number of design for plate interceptors are available from various manufacturers, all operating on a similar principle by simulating a laminar flow condition through the plate pack. Typical names are parallel plate interceptor (PPI), tilted plate interceptor (TPI) and corrugated plate interceptor (CPI).
